Emily Steinberg’s “Boxing with Hitler” Opens!

SFA Gallery is hosting an exhibition in May featuring new oil paintings by Philadelphia artist Emily Steinberg. “Boxing with Hitler” runs from May 1-31. There will be an opening reception for the artist on Saturday, May 10thth from 4-7pm, with light refreshments served. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday 11-5, and by appointment.

Emily Steinberg is an artist (painter/graphic novelist) who lives, works and teaches in Philadelphia, PA. 
Emily studied with Neil Welliver and others at the University of Pennsylvania, earning an MFA in 1992. Emily teaches drawing, painting, the graphic novel, and comics at Penn State, Abington. Recently, Emily had several large multi-panel paintings accepted into the Woodmere Art Museum Annual Juried Exhibit.boxingEmily’s graphic work will also be included in the Jewish Comix Anthology to be published later this year.

William Hudders: NEW WORK

“William Hudders: NEW WORK”Suburban Landscape opens April 1st and runs through the end of the month. These luminous, evocative paintings, drawings and watercolors are not to be missed! William Hudders is a painter and art educator from Easton, PA., who studied at the University of Pennsylvania and the Rhode Island School of Design. He has exhibited widely, and received numerous awards, grants and residencies, including a prestigious Pollack-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2007, and a Franz and Virginia Bader Fund Award in 2012.

Dave Sears “Watershed” Opens in March!

SFA Gallery presents David Sears “Watershed-A Celebration of the Fish and Fowl of the Delaware River Valley”, a benefit for the Tinicum Conservancy. The show features nearly 50 water-media paintings and will be on display for the entire month. The artist and gallery will donate a percentage of all sales to benefit the Tinicum Conservancy. There will be two opening receptions for the artist–a private reception for conservancy members on Friday, March 7th from 5-7PM and a public reception on Saturday, March 8th From 4-8PM. Light refreshments will be served. Join us!
